Franchesca Lisandro, a 25 year old Dominican artist and social media star known as Franchesca La Profeta no Down — died yesterday after having an asthma attack at the Brooklyn Crab restaurant where she allegedly works as a chef around noon.
Police found her unconscious, took her to a nearby hospital where she was pronounced dead.
In many interviews, she speaks on her emigrating to the United States from the Dominican Republic, as well as coming out as a lesbian and was a Christian when living in DR. You can watch the interview here. Her YouTube and Instagram posts generate thousands of views.
She has so much talent, making thousands, including myself, laugh. She kept her head held high especially when internet trolls would leave homophobic and other rude comments on her posts.
Her many fans now share their grief all over social media claiming it wasn’t her time to go, she had so much to offer.
Police are still investigating her death.
